Busy Busy Busy

It's been a busy 3 weeks. Back in school where I work and back in school where I study!!!

Misti and Makenzi will be in the states Sept 25th!!! I cannot wait. Misti is still feeling kind of sickly - hope that goes away soon!

Candace and Chase are loving Tyler!! I just hope they are loving school.

I have been by myself all week. Gary has been on a "business trip" to Las Vegas! He really has Tech Ed this week but who wouldn't want to go to Las Vegas! Miss him - glad he'll be home tomorrow!

Well a funny for the week....I let Eboni out - our 5 lb poodle - outside with Golden Retriever and the Great Pyrenees (that I need to have someone rescue) and someone pushed her into the pool......she's not a great swimmer but somehow she got to the step and just stood there. I yelled and yelled - was about to leave and decided I better find her or the big dogs might stomp on her. There she was with her head barely out of the water - right next to a DEAD RAT!!!

All is good with the dogs and me! haha

I am meeting a dear friend of mine for dinner tonight to have some girl time! Can't wait - then I hope to make a couple of cards!

Back to School

Well - it's that time again. Back to school!! I actually like being back on a schedule......but makes for a long day!

We are moving some rooms around at the house, painted Candace's room and about to floor it, then will move the scrap room into there and redo the middle room for Candace, paint and flooring. Then Chase's room will get a new floor too! Alot to do. Already have Candace's room painted and it looks good.

I made a sad decision to not teach piano this year. I've taught for 23 years and it was very hard for me to let that go but with 16 hours of college and working full time - I just had to do it.

Busy Life!

Well - we did get Chase moved into his Brand New Dorm - I think Candace was jealous lol. We did get Candace moved into her apt with Ms. Jaime!! It was a long 2 days but Gary and I had a great time. We miss our kiddos but I have to admit - we are enjoying our time alone. Candace came home Thursday - Sunday. She was busy while she was home - but loved having her here! We got a youtube of Kenzi Lynn!!!! Love it!

There you go if you'd like to see our Grandbaby - and oh yea! We have another grandbaby on the way. Candace and I will be going to Italy in the early summer to meet Sweet Burns Baby #2!!!!! Yea!!!

Summer school is over for now. 16 hours to come in the fall but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and God has given me such strength to finish this degree! I cannot wait until I have my very own classroom. I miss teaching - even though I'm in a Middle school right now and love every minute of it!

School, School, did I mention School???

So I'm taking 9 hours this summer session - what ever possessed me????????? My brain is so tired! Two of the classes are 10 days each. Whew!!! But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I know it will be worth it.

Tomorrow I read to a group of preschoolers! I think it will be a great time.

Chase moves in his dorm this Friday! Woohoo...A new adventure for my baby boy.....Candace moves to her new apartment this Friday - they will both be in Tyler.

Gary Nelson's b-day is tomorrow - 46 years mature!!!! Happy Birthday Honey!

What a week

Where do I begin.....It's been a long week. Candace slid into 3rd base playing softball and this is her ankle now....she'll be going to a wound clinic because of the infection!!! She's on crutches for a few days.

Chase and Everett floated on the Guadalupe on Tuesday and got lost - 8 hours of floating into the late evening without a clue where they were or how they were going to get out and get picked up!!!!

Just got a call from Italy - Shaun is in the ER - broken bones in his foot......

We are having another grandbaby around March of 2009 - woohoo!!!

Books Books Books

OMG!!!!

I got up at 6:15 this morning, threw on some clothes, got into the Bug and drove to 75 and Northwest Hwy to sit on the concrete for 2 hours and have wonderful conversation with a precious lady all to receive around 200 GREAT children's books FREE!!!!!!!! the doors opened at 9:00 am and I was out of there at 9:10!!!!

At first I thought - is this really worth it? Then when I got the box home and started going throught it - wow!!!!

I just love freebies. I know I have 3 semesters left of school but it's never too early to add to my collection.

Yesterday - The Blackley family and I went to the Ft. Worth Zoo and I bought Penguin and a Penquin floor puzzle to go with my Little Penquin's Tale book.

It was a hot day but really not too bad at the zoo - the animals were all out - having a great time!

Happy Fourth

Well - it's a beatiful day in Heath Texas. We already had breakfast with mom and family and friends and played a little black jack under the trees!!

Now off to creating some great cards with great friends!!!

Thanks to all who serve our country so proudly - including our son, dil and precious Makenzi in Italy!!!

I pitty those that want to take God out of all!!! Our country was built on God and our faith!
