Ice Ice Baby....now Snow Snow Baby!!!!!

Well - we all know that it's been icy since Tuesday and 6 inches of snow fell today in the DFW area and I'm loving the beautiful creation of God.  Everything is white and fluffy!!!

Gary has been in Bentonville ARK all week and tried to get home Thursday night.  Bentonville received a ton of snow on Tues/Wed and of course by the time he got in the car at midnight it was a blizzard here.  His luggage was still on the plane when he left so who knows when it will be delivered.  He said that God is teaching him patience!! Alot of it! He hates cold......

We went into school yesterday at 10am and had fun with the kiddos.  They were a little stir crazy but always fun.

Not for sure what is in store for today but so glad to have both my boys home with me instead of being by myself like Tues and Thurs.  I cleaned closets/washed clothes and scrap booked quite a bit. 

I let the dogs out this morning and lost Eboni.  I kept waiting for her and noticed that Shooter was standing by the pool-----well there she was in the water.  She can't see so she couldn't tell where the concrete ended and the water began and in she went.  Elvis loves the nose and rubs his face in it and Shooter, well he just doesn't want to go in it at all.

Happy New Year!!!

Candace Graduated from UT Tyler with her BSN/BRN I don't know - but she's a NURSE!!! woohoo Just has a job at Mother Francis in Tyler on the pedi floor. We are so proud of her!

We spent Christmas in Arizona and had an absolute blast with all the kids!!! We are such a blessed family that sometimes I'm just overwhelmed with God's glory!!!

Kenzi was so cute putting the milk and cookies out for Santa and dancing her booty around!! Then Christmas morning was so sweet. We waited for all the wrapped presents until Pops got in around 11:00. A wonderful Christmas lunch cooked by Misti followed then alot of resting lol.

Chase and Peyton became best buddies!!!! Too Cute!

We left to head back on Monday and got home Tues afternoon. Then Wed., Candace and I went to Tyler and moved several of her things into her new apt. She is a working women and has a cute cute 1 bedroom apt. It's hard to let her grow up and be independent, she's still my baby girl!!

Tonight we will celebrate and bring in the New Year with dear friends.

Happy Thanksgiving

We've had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday so far! Shaun, Misti and the kiddos were here. Candace came in too! We had all of our kiddos under one roof for a couple of days. We had the Newells, Owens, Satterwhites and Lovelaces all here for Thanksgiving Thursday!! What a joy. We are such a blessed family!

Kenzi got to help Pops and Mimi decorate the tree - it was so sweet!!! I just love the holidays and are so thankful that Shauns family is back in the states!!!

Candace graduates from Nursing School in December and has been offered 3 jobs and has accepted one in Pedi at a hospital in Tyler. We are so proud of her!!!! December will be crazy again this year! Bring it on! lolol

Gary resigned from a long stint with IBM and is now working for SAP. So far the stress level is great! He misses the craziness I'm sure but I love having him not glued to that work phone - for now anway.

Chase is still chugging along at school trying to decide what he wants to do when he grows up lolol.

I'm still teaching Art in Crandall and loving it. I will also be playing for the Crandall High School musical Charlie Brown in December - that will be interesting! I haven't played for a musical in a while but loving the adventure!

Whew

A lot has happened since my last post.....Gary and I went on a cruise to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we had a blast with wonderful friends....didn't know if we'd make it to Gavleston - the Excursion broke down half way there! Fun times!

Then I signed my teaching contract with Crandall ISD to teach middle school art and I am having a blast! I started back 8/3 with several training sessions. The kids came back 8/23 and I have around 185 wonderful 7th and 8th graders. It is going to be a stretch for me...if you have any tips please let me know! lol

Candace starts her final semester of nursing school and she is excited!!! She will be moving back to the Dallas area in December and we can't wait! Chase started classes at Eastfield and all is going well.

Shaun and Misti are doing well - the kids are just growing and growing!!! I'm looking for cheap tickets to go for a weekend!

Summer '10

So far it's been a whirlwind summer. June 5th I went to kids camp as a 3rd grade counselor with our church. It was outside of Hawkins and boy was it hot but we had a great time. We got home on Wed! The following Monday, I left with my parents and went to Tucson to see Shaun and his sweet family. We got their Tues evening and left Saturday morning. We headed to Ruidoso and went to the horse races...fun times. Then off to Carlsbad Caverns! What an awesome place. We spent nine days together and even though there were experiences - lol - I wouldn't have traded any of it to spend time with mom and dad.

I came back on Wed night and on Thursday signed a contract with Crandall ISD as one of the middle school Art teachers...oh my! Then Saturday I took the art test - it was interesting. I have to pass it by March 2011.

We have 2 more outings this summer - Guadalupe/Schlitterbaughn (sp) then a cruise with my sweet husband!

25 Years today

25 Years ago - I married my Jr. High Sweetheart and what a ride we have had!!!! It's been wonderful. This past weekend we went to Jefferson/Marshall/Shreveport and Tyler and had a blast!

God has richly blessed us with great kids/in law's and marvelous grandchildren.

We are looking forward to many more years together!

3 years old....

Our precious Grandbaby is 3 years old today. I can't believe it's been 3 years since Shaun called me from Italy to let me hear her cry....I cried for an hour I think - it was so sweet to hear that precious baby over the phone lines. I so wanted to be there with them.

It's been a great ride being grandparents - Mimi and Pops loves every minute we see those precious 2 children!!!

We pray for Kenzi every day - Kenzi Lynn you are our precious baby girl...and we love you more than life itself..

Shaun and Misti have done a great job with the kids and we are so glad that they are now in the states!!!!
